OUR FAMILY:
Terence and Gary Hyde are brothers and have always had a passion for bikes. They put their wives and kids on dirtbikes from the word "go" and together, as a family, we all share a mutual love for the sport.
Hyde Developments is run by Terence and this family business is situated near Nelspruit. We manufacture quality protection accessories for most dirt bikes, adventure bikes and quads. www.hyde.co.za
Hyde Auto Workshop is run by Gary and this family business is situated in Joburg. Specialising in vehicle services, repairs and accessory fitments.
OUR MISSION FOR QUADS4QUADS:
Inspired by Ruth, we have all decided to commit ourselves to the 2010 Quads4Quads charity ride. With a bit of convincing from Ruth and myself (Roxanne), we roped my mum, Lynne and cousin, Megan into forming our 4 member family team. Two mommy's and two daughters. Supported by our men and family, the 4 of us will be riding this adventure together in September. Our fathers/husbands, Terence Hyde and Gary Hyde will be our team managers, mechanics and back up vehicles. Our bikes will all be kitted out in Hyde Developments accessories and our companies will be sponsoring and supporting us for this event. We just need your donations that will all be handed over to QASA on the last day.
So the boys are being scooted off their bikes and we're taking over for this event, with their help, ofcourse =)
WHAT IS QUADS4QUADS:
It is two legs of a family fun ride, first from Joburg to Durban and second, from Durban back to Joburg. This whole ride is organised in aid of raising funds for the QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) www.qasa.co.za
WHAT IT ENTAILS:
We are doing the first leg from Joburg to Durban from 23 September - 26 September. We will be averaging 250km's per day and in total, 950km's.
The paths will all be offroad and what an exciting way to see more of our beatiful country!! (Apparently the path we ride will run through rolling hills, thick indigenous forests, rocky mountain passes, dams, rivers and farmlands). We will camp every night as we come in from the daily ride and make our way down to Durban.
***No doubt alot of training and practise has to be done before we go so, girls.....get your bums in gear!!
WHAT WE'RE RIDING:
Meg will be on an Adly, Ruth on a Suzuki LTZ250, Lynne on a LTZ400 and Roxanne on a Yamaha TTR230F.
